Location: Enter the Orono Gate - Right at 2nd Stop Sign
Hours: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
Opens : Memorial Day
Closes : Labor Day
After Memorial Day weekend, the beaches will be open only on weekends until the ALCA Official Summer Season begins (late June). Beaches will be open full-time in the summer season (seven days a week), weather permitting.
This beach is located on Lake Shore Drive between Squaw Trail and Onawa Trail.
Beach 2 has several picnic benches, a boat rack and docking area. There is also a small playground for the kids of all ages. There is one fishing pier for easy access into boats.
No swimming is allowed during thunderstorms or when lifeguards are NOT on Duty.
