SWIM TEAM TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS 2010
AGES 5-9
-Must be able to swim 1 lap (25 meters) of freestyle by themselves.
-Must be able to swim 1 lap (25 meters) of either backstroke or breast stroke by themselves.
-Children between the ages of 5 and 7 must show their diving ability from the side of the pool or off the dive block.
-Children ages 8 and 9 must show their diving ability off the dive block.
AGES 10-13
-Must be able to swim 1 lap (25 meters) of freestyle, backstroke, and breast stroke.
-Must be able to swim at least ½ a lap of butterfly.
-Must be able to show a basic flip turn.
-Must be able to show their diving ability off the dive block.
AGES 14-18
-Must be able to swim 1 lap (25 meters) of freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly.
-Must be able to complete a timed 100 IM in 2 minutes or less.
-Must show their diving ability off the dive block.
-Must be able to show a flip turn and a bucket turn.
